Reservation Policy

  • This reservation must be used together with a valid Swiss Travel Pass or Eurail Global Pass of the corresponding class.

  • All tickets are for one-way travel only. Please specify your travel direction when booking.

  • Excellence Class reservations are only available to holders of a 1st class Swiss Travel Pass or Eurail Global Pass.

  • The following routes — Chur to St. Moritz, Chur to Andermatt, Brig to Zermatt, and Brig to Andermatt — are only available on trains 900, 901, 906, and 907.

Catering Service

  • Swiss breakfast : Bread basket, 2 pieces of butter, 1 portion of jam, 1 portion of honey, 1 hot drink of your choice
  • Glacier Brunch : Two eggs, natural yoghurt with muesli, bread basket, cheese, and ham platter, two portions of butter, one portion of jam and one of honey, plus Prosecco or orange juice and a hot drink of your choice
  • Daily plate : Meat, vegetables, sides
  • 2 Course Menu : Daily plate and appetizer*, or daily plate and dessert
  • 3 Course Menu : Appetizer*, daily plate, dessert
  • 4 Course Menu : Appetizer*, daily plate, dessert, and sorbet
  • *Soup / Salad, offer varies depending on the season
     

Special Policy

  • The Glacier Express will not operate from October 12 to December 5, 2025 & October 11 to December 4, 2026.

  • The Glacier Express is one of the most sought-after scenic trains in the world. We recommend booking at least one month in advance.

  • The Excellence Class will not operate from March 9 to March 27, 2026.

  • Tickets are only available for departures within the next 93 days.

  • After purchasing your ticket, please indicate your preferred train or time slot, seating preference (adjacent or face-to-face, window or aisle, etc.). Our staff will contact you to confirm the details.

  • Partial closure of the route on March 21 and 22, 2026 

    • Please note that due to construction work, the Glacier Express route between Chur and Domat-Ems Werk is closed on the 21st and 22nd of March 2026. 

    • For guests boarding or alighting in Chur, a replacement bus will be available for the short distance on both days, taking them from Chur station directly to the Glacier Express or from the Glacier Express to Chur station.
