In 2026, Mount TITLIS welcomes the grand opening of the brand-new TITLIS Tower, combining breathtaking Alpine scenery, glacier landscapes, the iconic Cliff Walk, and the world-famous rotating cable car to create a classic Swiss mountain experience that can be enjoyed all year round.
Mount TITLIS is one of the most popular mountain destinations in Central Switzerland. From 2026 onward, TITLIS enters a new era with a series of world-class architectural landmarks and upgraded facilities coming into service, elevating the summit experience to be not only spectacular, but also more immersive, comfortable, and truly memorable.
Designed by the renowned Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, creators of London’s Tate Modern, the new TITLIS Tower has become the latest iconic landmark on Mount TITLIS.
Horizon Deck – 70-Metre-High Panoramic Viewing Platform
Standing at the top of the Alps, the Horizon Deck offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views across Switzerland, Germany, and Italy, making it one of the highest accessible viewpoints in the region.

The iconic TITLIS Rotair, the world’s only rotating cable car, remains the primary way to reach the summit for most of the year, allowing guests to enjoy 360-degree panoramic views of the Alps and glacier scenery in just a few minutes.
To support the summit station upgrade and ensure year-round access to the mountain, Mount TITLIS introduces the modern TITLIS Connect cable car from 2026, which will operate as a replacement service during a designated period.

From 2026 onward, dining and shopping facilities will be centralized at the Trübsee lakeside mid-station (1,800 metres above sea level), creating a smoother and more efficient travel flow:
Take the world's first revolving cable car from Engelberg to Mount Titlis in central Switzerland.
Mount Titlis is open all year round and there are many activities on the mountain. The ticket price includes: walking on the Titlis Cliff Walk, the highest suspension bridge in Europe (500 meters high and 100 meters long), entering the underground Glacier Cave, and taking Snow Tubing or Snow Sledding at the end of the Glacier Flyer chairlift. Beginners in skiing can also have a great time, or go hiking around Lake Trübsee.

A 150-meter-long ice tunnel deep inside the glacier, with temperatures maintained at -1.5°C year-round. Free entry, with magical lighting creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

The 4 Lakes Hike (Engelberg-Trübsee-Jochpass-Engstlenalp-Tannalp-Melchsee-Frutt) will introduce you to one of the most beautiful parts of Central Switzerland. Take the cable car to Trübsee and walk along the lake to the Jochpass chair lift. On arriving at the top, the route continues via Engstlenalp and Tannalp to Melchsee-Frutt. Take the cable car down to Stöckalp and then hop on the Postbus to Sarnen. From here, you can take the train back to Engelberg.
At Titlis’s SnowXpark, you can ride three innovative electric snow vehicles — the electric snowbike (MoonBike), e-snowmobile, and Bobsla (a bobsleigh-snowmobile hybrid) — on dedicated circuits. Drift, speed, and race in eco-friendly silence for about 50 minutes (including briefing), making it a fantastic winter adventure for groups, friends, or families. Additional rental fee required.
MoonBike
The world’s first electric snowbike, featuring a lightweight design and low center of gravity that makes it very easy to handle. It accelerates quickly and responds smoothly, offering a completely new riding sensation compared to traditional snow vehicles. Recommended for ages 16 and above, with a minimum height of 160 cm.
e-Snowmobile
Powered entirely by electricity, it produces no emissions and minimal noise, making it environmentally friendly. On the dedicated closed course, riders can drift and turn with a strong racing feel—perfect for those seeking excitement without skiing. Recommended for ages 12 and above (or accompanied by an adult).
Bobsla
A compact and stable electric hybrid vehicle that combines elements of a bobsleigh and a snowmobile. Easy to operate, it delivers strong speed sensations while remaining highly stable—ideal for adventurers who want a fast snow experience without using skis. Recommended for ages 12 and above.
Experience the thrill of a 500‑meter zipline high above the Alps, flying from the Trübsee Alpine Lodge down to the lakeside play area. Securely strapped to a steel cable, you will soar through the mountain air — a rush of freedom and excitement all in one ride.
Take the train from Lucerne to Engelberg Train Station, the journey takes about 45 minutes.
It takes 3 minutes to reach the Engelberg Cable Car Station by the free shuttle bus (click here for timetable) or an easy 10-minute walk to the Engelberg Cable Car Station.
