Bürgenstock is the easiest Alpine escape from Lucerne — just under 30 minutes from the city centre, yet 500 metres up you'll find hiking trails, Europe's tallest open-air elevator, tennis courts, and a wellness spa, all with completely different views depending on where you stand. It's an easy half-day or full-day trip that gives you real Alpine altitude without a long journey.
This pass covers the full round trip from Lucerne: board a boat at Pier 3 (in front of the KKL concert hall) for a scenic 25-minute cruise to Kehrsiten, then transfer to the funicular for a 6-minute ride up to Bürgenstock — the journey itself is a relaxed cruise through lake and mountain scenery.

For an extra thrill, the Hammetschwand Lift beside Bürgenstock Resort is Europe's tallest freestanding outdoor elevator. Built in 1905, it rises 153 metres to an observation deck with 360-degree views over Lake Lucerne. It runs only from May to October, departing hourly from 13:07, and must be booked separately on the official website — it is not included in this pass and cannot be arranged through GoByTrain. Prefer to walk? The Felsenweg trail from the resort to near the lift takes about 1.5 hours, with scenery just as rewarding.
