The Rigi Mountains have always been one of Switzerland's most popular mountain ranges, towering majestically between Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug, and Lake Lauerz. Holders of a Swiss Travel Pass can visit the mountain for free.
Part of the foothills of the Alps, the highest point is approximately 1,796 meters above sea level. In 1864, Queen Victoria of England visited here for a vacation, and the mountain earned the nickname “Queen of the Mountains,” hence the name “Queen of the Mountains.”

Rigi Scheidegg Playground|The Ultimate Mountain Adventure
Next to the Rigi Scheidegg hut, this large playground features a wooden adventure ship, sunken trampolines, and climbing frames. Nearby are picnic shelters, toilets, firewood, and the 360° panoramic Arche viewpoint.
Rigiland Nature Playground|A Fairytale Start
Tucked in the forest near Rigi Kaltbad station, this natural playground has climbing rocks, a sandbox, a biotope, and toys. Two barbecue areas with benches and firewood make it ideal for family picnics.
Rigi Burggeist Playground|Small Spot, Big Fun
Just a 10-minute walk from Rigi Scheidegg, this cozy mountaintop playground includes a giant board game area on the cable car station roof—featuring Lotto and Nine Men's Morris. Creative fun with stunning views!
