The ÖBB Nightjet offers eco-friendly overnight travel to Europe’s most beautiful cities and enables passengers to save both time and accommodation costs. Hop on the train in the evening and make yourself comfortable – simply lean back and enjoy the comfort, either in a com- partment with other passengers or in a private compart- ment just for you, your friends and family. After a hearty breakfast*, the following morning you will arrive right in the city centre of your destination and can set about your day straight away.

This is a manual issuance process; any price difference will be settled — refunded or charged — before the ticket is issued.

Seat Car
The seat car is the most budget-friendly option for ÖBB Nightjet travel, featuring either six-person compartments or standard open coaches with accessible washrooms. For added privacy, passengers can book a private seating compartment for up to three people at a flat rate on select routes, subject to availability.

Couchette Car
Couchette compartments accommodate four to six people, making them ideal for families, groups, or solo travelers. Bunks include basic bedding, and dedicated ladies' compartments are available. Newer, upgraded coaches are currently being introduced, offering improved comfort, bike storage, and Wi-Fi. Groups can also book a private compartment for up to six people at a flat rate.

Mini Cabin
Designed specifically for solo travelers, the mini cabin provides a private, "cocoon-style" space on new-generation Nightjets. Your ticket includes the reservation, a bottle of mineral water, and breakfast served in the morning. Additional snacks and drinks are available for purchase from the on-board service team.

Sleeping Car
The sleeping car offers the highest level of comfort, with compartments for one to three people featuring made-up beds and either private washbasins or, in "plus" categories, private showers and toilets. New-generation compartments feature contemporary designs with fixed beds, NFC locking, and adjustable lighting. The fare includes access to ÖBB lounges, a welcome drink, snacks, and a full à la carte breakfast served in your room.
