Tour Highlights
Embark on this classic full-day Loch Ness tour and marvel at the breathtaking scenery of the Scottish Highlands. You’ll explore iconic filming locations from movies and series like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Outlander — and with a little luck, you might even spot the legendary Loch Ness Monster!
The journey begins with a drive past Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, and continues to Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument. Your guide will share the real-life tale behind Braveheart and the heroic story of William Wallace's fight against the English.
In the morning, fans of Monty Python, Game of Thrones, and Outlander will get a glimpse of Doune Castle, before we head to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park for a coffee stop. You'll either visit the gateway village of Callander or admire the tranquil scenery of Loch Lubnaig.
We’ll then drive to the scenic viewpoint at Loch Tulla for photos, passing through the wild landscapes of Rannoch Moor to reach the dramatic and historic Glen Coe, where the infamous Massacre of the MacDonald Clan occurred in 1692.
If the scenery looks familiar, it’s because films like Skyfall, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, The Outlaw King, and Mary Queen of Scots were shot here.
We’ll stop in Fort William on the west coast for a lunch break (lunch not included), then continue our journey to Commando Memorial, offering panoramic views of Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain at 1,344 meters.
We follow the Caledonian Canal to Fort Augustus, nestled on the shore of the world-famous Loch Ness. Here, you’ll have time to join a boat cruise or simply monster-hunt from the lakeside.
Our long-standing cruise partner — over 20 years of Nessie hunting — uses sonar equipment to scan the depths of the loch for mythical creatures: plesiosaurs, giant eels, lost seals? Who knows what you might find 200 meters down!
On our way back, we travel through Glen Spean, Loch Laggan, and the Cairngorms National Park, where we may have time for a short woodland stroll. Then it’s south through Dalwhinnie, home to one of the highest whisky distilleries in Scotland, and past Blair Castle, seat of the Duke of Atholl.
Our final stop will be in the Highland Perthshire region — the heart of the Highlands — where you can enjoy a light snack or evening stroll in one of the picturesque villages before we head back to Edinburgh.
As we approach the city, we’ll cross the Forth Road Bridge, offering views of the Forth Rail Bridge — one of the greatest Victorian engineering feats and a truly iconic landmark of Scotland.
