Scope of application

The Britrail pass allows unlimited travel on all trains in Great Britain: England, Scotland, and Wales within the validity period of the train ticket; however, the ticket price does not include reservations, meals, and sleeping berths. The BritrailPass is not valid in Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Terms of Use

Validity Options:

• Flexible Pass: Choose 2, 3, 4, or 8 travel days within 1 month, or 15 travel days within 2 months.
• Consecutive Pass: Continuous travel for 2, 3, 4, 8, 15, 22 days, or 1 month.

Class Options: First Class or Standard Class.

Saver Pass (3–9 Travelers): Valid for groups of 3–9 people traveling together on the same pass type and class, with the same activation date. All tickets must be attached together in one cover and cannot be used separately. Children's free passes are not available for group saver tickets.

Ticketing Fees: Purchases made on the Federal Vacation official website do not incur service fees. If issued manually by a travel consultant, a ticketing fee starting from USD 10 per person per pass will apply.

The BritRail Pass is valid on the following airport express routes (travel days will be counted from the pass):
• Heathrow Express – London Heathrow Airport ↔ London Paddington Station (15 min, every 15 min)
• Gatwick Express – London Gatwick Airport ↔ London Victoria Station (30 min, every 15 min)
• Stansted Express – London Stansted Airport ↔ London Liverpool Street Station (42 min, every 15–30 min)

Night Trains: The BritRail Pass is valid on Caledonian Sleeper and Night Riviera Sleeper services. Seat or berth reservations are required and charged separately.

This pass is issued as a physical paper ticket and must be shipped from overseas. A delivery address in Taiwan (main island only) is required at the time of payment. To ensure sufficient delivery time, orders are only accepted for passes that will be used at least 10 business days after purchase (excluding weekends and national holidays).

For Consecutive Passes, you can board the train immediately after activation. For Flexible Passes, after the validation stamp is applied, you must handwrite the travel date before each travel day—no corrections or alterations are allowed.

Only travelers without a residence permit (valid for 6 months or longer) in the United Kingdom are eligible to purchase or use this pass. Travelers holding a British National (Overseas) – BNO passport issued before 1997 may also purchase or use this pass, provided they do not hold a U.K. residence permit (valid for 6 months or longer).

Travelers must hold valid rail passes and entry visas for all countries through which the train travels, including those not disembarked in.

Seat reservations are not included. Most premium high-speed trains, scenic trains, and night trains require advance reservations. Even on long-distance or popular routes without compulsory reservations, seats often sell out during peak travel seasons or holidays. It is highly recommended to reserve seats in advance. If no reservation is made, please sit in a seat not marked “RESERVED.”

The pass is not valid on the following services: Eurostar, Tyne and Wear Metro, Glasgow Underground, Manchester Metrolink, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), London Underground, buses, ferries, or private railways.

The BritRail Pass must be activated within 11 months of issue.

Unused passes that have expired cannot be refunded. Refunds are available only for completely unused and unstamped passes. efund requests must be submitted within 10 months of the issue date, and a 15% cancellation fee plus a TWD 1,000 handling fee per person will apply.

In the event of strikes, delays, service interruptions, or baggage loss/theft, neither BritRail nor its partner rail operators will be liable for any losses incurred. In such cases, please refer to the applicable exchange or refund policy and contact your travel consultant for assistance.

For issues such as ticket disputes, strikes, or staff unfamiliarity with the pass, please keep all original tickets, rail passes, and reservation slips to facilitate refund or compensation claims through your travel agency. In the absence of the related documents, tickets cannot be refunded. Please treat your pass like cash or an important document to ensure a smooth journey.
