Day 2 Bora Bora
Expand
On the second morning in Bora Bora, after a sumptuous breakfast, embark on a memorable encounter with the island’s most exquisite treasure – its crystal-clear lagoons.
The Tepeva family, a small local family business, will take you on their private boat to explore unique, well-preserved spots, far from the crowds of popular tourist areas. In a friendly atmosphere, a member of the Tepeva family – father or son – will share fascinating insights about stingrays, sharks, octopuses, lagoon fish, and coral reefs.
The tour culminates at one of Bora Bora’s most beautiful islets – the legendary Motu Tapu, once reserved for the queen and off-limits to all others, hence the name “tapu” (meaning “forbidden” in Tahitian).
Private guide: The boat and guide are exclusive to your group, though other guests may visit the islet simultaneously.

Day 3 Bora Bora
Expand
Explore Bora Bora’s rich culture and history on this half-day 4x4 island tour, visiting five main highlights:
Marae Fare Opu: The largest sacred site (marae) on the island, originally reserved for the king. Two stone slabs on the front of the ahu (altar) feature turtle carvings, revered in ancient Polynesian culture and offered only to the gods. Only chiefs and priests could consume turtle.
World War II Ruins: Overlooking the Bora Bora lagoon, you can still see cannons and bunkers aimed at the island’s only entrance. This hill also offers panoramic views of the lagoon and Vaitape.
Mama Ruta’s Tapa Workshop: Learn how to create beautifully colored tapa cloth and understand the traditional printing process. Personalized cloth orders can be delivered to your hotel in a few days.
Matira Beach: A must-visit white sand beach, perfect for appreciating the stunning colors of Bora Bora’s lagoon.
“Hiro Rock” Station: Hear the legend of this striking monolith. Two of the eight WWII cannons on the island can be reached via trails here, offering another excellent viewpoint.
Along the way, discover other minor sites and gain deeper insight into Bora Bora’s history and culture.
