Start your first day at the iconic Duomo di Milano, arriving early to beat the crowds and enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the cathedral’s rooftop. Next, stroll over to the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a grand arcade filled with charming cafés and luxury boutiques—perfect for photos and a leisurely lunch. Art lovers shouldn’t miss the renowned Pinacoteca di Brera, home to an impressive collection of masterpieces.

For dinner and evening drinks, head to the vibrant Navigli district, where you can soak in authentic Italian nightlife amid picturesque canals and lively atmosphere.

If you have extra time on the second morning, take a peaceful walk through Parco Sempione and visit the historic Castello Sforzesco nearby, a lovely area rich in history and greenery. For a glimpse of Milan’s modern side, explore the CityLife district, known for its contemporary architecture and shopping centers—ideal for photography enthusiasts and design lovers.

Don’t miss out on Milan’s classic street food at Luini, famed for its Panzerotti—crispy, fried pockets of dough stuffed with savory fillings like cheese, tomato, ham, or even sweet varieties. This popular eatery often has a line, beloved by both locals and tourists alike.

Short Trip Recommendation: Florence > Lake Como (Train: 1h 04m)

Lake Como, Italy’s third-largest lake nestled near the Swiss border, is a famed European summer retreat that has long attracted writers, artists, and travelers seeking lakeside tranquility. This picturesque setting also served as the romantic backdrop for Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala’s love story in Star Wars, making it a popular destination for wedding photos. Just a two-hour train ride from Milan, Lake Como is often called Milan’s secret garden.

Don’t miss Villa Carlotta, renowned for its enchanting gardens boasting over 150 varieties of rhododendrons, century-old cedar trees, and tropical plants that create a miniature forest. Inside, an impressive collection of sculptures adds an artistic touch to this stunning lakeside paradise.

Star Wars’ iconic love scene location — Lake Como

Short Trip Recommendation: Florence > Verona (Train: 1h 12m)

Verona’s Roman Amphitheatre is the third-largest ancient arena in the world and hosts the annual summer opera festival, where the majestic Aida fills the night air. Imagine sitting under a starry sky in this historic venue—an unforgettable experience!

While in Verona, visit Juliet’s House to step into the world of Shakespeare’s timeless love story Romeo and Juliet and celebrate the spirit of romance.

Day 2 | Milan – Venice / Overnight in Venice
Expand

Drift into the enchanting water city of Venice, a mosaic of fragmented islands connected by more than 400 bridges and 150 winding canals—where every romantic story begins. Lose yourself wandering the labyrinth of alleys and waterways. Don’t miss the iconic gondola rides, Venice’s most emblematic water taxis, offering a timeless experience. Also be sure to visit St. Mark’s Square, famously praised by Emperor Napoleon as “the most beautiful drawing room in Europe.”

Venice’s waterways are world-renowned. With no cars allowed in the historic center, canals replace roads, making walking and boating the only ways to get around. Today, locals and visitors alike rely on the affordable vaporetti water buses to navigate the main canals and reach Venice’s other charming islands.

Short Trip Recommendation: Burano – The Rainbow & Lace Island / Murano – The Glass Island (Ferry: 24 / 30 mins)

Departing from Venice’s Santa Lucia at the F.te Nove pier, hop on the Line 12 vaporetto (water bus) or other frequent ferries for a scenic 1-hour 6-minute ride to the vibrant Burano Island, also passing by the famed Murano Island - why choose? Visit both!

Burano, once home primarily to fishermen, is famous for its brightly painted houses. Legend has it that wives painted their homes in vivid colors so husbands could spot them from afar after a long day at sea, earning Burano the nickname Rainbow Island. The island is also known as Lace Island, celebrated since the 16th century for its exquisite lace craftsmanship that captivated the world.

Murano Island is renowned worldwide for its colorful glassware. Since the 14th century, it has been exporting exquisite glass products such as beads, mirrors, and chandeliers. Jewelry and home decor lovers will find plenty to indulge in here!

Short Trip Recommendation: Florence > Padua (Train: 20 mins)

Padua is a charming city rich in history, art, and academia, located just a 20-minute train ride from Venice. Home to one of Europe’s oldest universities, Padua boasts impressive Renaissance and medieval architecture and art.

Founded in 1222, the University of Padua is among Europe’s oldest, with the great Galileo once teaching here. Visitors can explore the world’s oldest anatomical theatre (Teatro Anatomico) and stroll through historic campus buildings. Don’t miss Prato della Valle, one of Europe’s largest city squares—a sprawling elliptical green space surrounded by an artificial canal and lined with statues—perfect for relaxing walks and soaking up local life.

Day 3-4 | Venice – Florence / Overnight in Florence for 2 Nights
Expand

Arrive comfortably at the birthplace of the Renaissance. Step out of the central station and you’ll be greeted by the stunning Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. Stroll along Via de’ Calzaiuoli and discover the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo), the famed Gates of Paradise, and the Baptistery of San Giovanni.

No visit to Florence is complete without exploring the Uffizi Gallery, home to an unparalleled collection of Renaissance masterpieces. For those who love shopping, the southwest area of the cathedral square offers unique Florentine ceramics—perfect souvenirs to remember your trip by.

Must-know : When in Florence, have you checked off these four essential experiences?

Short Trip Suggestion: Florence > Pisa (Train: 1h20m)

The world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa has been tilting ever since its completion in the 14th century. In 1990, the Italian government invited experts from home and abroad to help stabilize the tower, reopening it to visitors in 2001. The Leaning Tower might one day become a historical relic, so be sure to snap your photo while exploring Italy!

Beyond the tower, marvel at the grand Pisa Cathedral (Duomo), the Baptistery (Battistero), and the Camposanto Monumentale cemetery.

You can easily see the main sights in a morning or half-day, leaving your afternoon free to return to Florence for more sightseeing.

Short Trip Suggestion: Florence > Siena (Train: 1h30m)

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Siena boasts beautifully preserved medieval streets, squares, and architecture, exuding a romantic and historic atmosphere.

Hop aboard Italy’s famed private high-speed train, NTV Italo, often dubbed the "Ferrari train" thanks to the Ferrari owner’s major stake. With sleek exterior design and top-tier interiors, it promises a luxurious journey.

NTV (Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori) was co-founded by Ferrari’s former president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, alongside other entrepreneurs including Tod’s founder Diego Della Valle. From day one, Italo positioned itself as a boutique, upscale travel experience.

Italian leather brand Tod’s, famous for its driving shoes, partnered with Italo to craft premium leather seats for first-class cabins, especially the Club Executive class. These seats showcase exquisite Italian craftsmanship, combining comfort and elegance, reflecting Italy’s high-end lifestyle. Ask us about upgrading to this premium class.

Upon arriving in Rome and settling in, start exploring iconic ancient landmarks like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Then, toss a coin into the famous Trevi Fountain, turning your back to make a wish. End the day at Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), indulging in a Giolitti gelato just like Audrey Hepburn.
