Les Rochers-de-Naye

Departing from Montreux, this cogwheel train climbs past the charming villages of Glion and Caux, traveling through lush forests, meadows, and rocky landscapes. 

After about 50 minutes, you'll reach the summit of Rochers-de-Naye at 2,042 meters. 

The panoramic views stretch over Lake Geneva, the Swiss and French Alps - and on clear days, even the Matterhorn. In summer, you can spot alpine flora and marmots, making it a paradise for hikers and photographers.

This is perfect for those traveling in Montreux or Vevey (or even Lausanne). Set aside a day to take this train up to the 2,042-meter-high Rochers-de-Nid peak.
