Tour Highlights
- The cable car crosses Hinterstocken Lake in two sections before reaching the summit of Stockhorn (2,190 m). On the southern side, visitors can admire the snow-capped peaks of the Alps, including the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and Blüemlisalp. To the north, a panoramic viewing platform offers sweeping views over the Swiss Plateau.
- Next to the panoramic restaurant, a tunnel runs through the mountain to the “Stockhorn Eyes” and the dramatic suspended viewing platform on the mountain’s north face. Through its glass floor, visitors can marvel at the nearly vertical 400 m drop, with the Aare Valley and the town of Thun lying 1,500 m below.
- Route: Take a train to Erlenbach, then either walk 12 minutes or take the shuttle bus to the valley station. From there, ride the cable car via Chrindi mid-station to the summit of Stockhorn.

- From Interlaken Ost: Take a train to Erlenbach i.S. (Stockhornbahn valley station), approx. 1 hour. There is a direct train about every 3 hours.
- From Spiez: Take a train to Erlenbach i.S. (Stockhornbahn valley station), approx. 30 minutes.
- From the Lake Geneva Region
- From Montreux: Take the GoldenPass Belle Epoque train to Zweisimmen, approx. 2 hours 10 minutes (seat reservation here).
- From Zweisimmen: Take a train to Erlenbach i.S. (Stockhornbahn valley station), approx. 25 minutes.
Ticket information
- Class: Only standard class is available.
- STS Discount Ticket: Available only to holders of a Swiss Travel Pass (one travel day must be used) or a Swiss Half Fare Card.
- Adult Ticket: Regular fare.
- Child Ticket: For children aged 6 to under 16.
- Infant: Children under 6 who do not require a seat may travel free when accompanied by an adult; please indicate in the remarks section.
