Harder Kulm Funicular Ticket

    • Season 1 Price: May 1 – October 31, 2026 
    • Season 2 Price: November 1 – December 12, 2026
       
• This is a single-use ticket, valid only on the day of travel.
• Eurail Discount: This fare is available only to holders of a valid Eurail Pass. It does not count as a travel day.
• STS Discount: This fare is available only to holders of a Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card. It does count as a travel day.
• Free for Young Children: Children under 6 years old on the day of travel can ride for free when accompanied by an adult holding a valid ticket. A passport is recommended in case of random checks.
• Free for Children with Family Card: Children aged 6 to under 16 on the first day of travel can ride for free with a Swiss Family Card, if accompanied by a parent who holds a Swiss Travel Pass (STP) or Swiss Half Fare Card (HFC). No separate ticket is needed.
• Children Requiring Tickets: Children aged 6 to under 16 without a Swiss Family Card must purchase one of the following:
  • Jungfrau Child Ticket – CHF 20
  • Junior Card – CHF 30 (available at any SBB station in Switzerland)
• Group Discount: Groups of 10 or more travelers are eligible for group rates. Please contact your travel consultant.
• Passengers with Disabilities: Wheelchair users are eligible for free tickets. Please present a valid disability ID when booking and inform your travel consultant of your travel time in advance so that local staff can prepare. Accompanying persons must purchase a regular ticket.

• This ticket takes you from Interlaken Ost to Harder Kulm.
• This is a single-use ticket, valid only on the day of travel.

It’s about a 7-minute walk (500 meters) from Interlaken Ost station to the Harder Kulm valley station (Harderbahn).
The funicular ride from the valley station to the top of Harder Kulm takes approximately 10 minutes.

• Spectacular Close-Up Views — Take in panoramic vistas of the majestic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, complemented by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

• Harder Kulm is open seasonally. The 2026 operating season is expected to run from April 3 to November 29.
• The funicular usually runs every 30 minutes. In summer, it operates until the evening so visitors can enjoy the sunset. It is usually closed in winter (late November to late March).
• Spring & Summer (April–October) : Uphill: 09:00–20:30 / Last downhill: 21:00–21:40
• Autumn (Late October–November) : Uphill: 09:00–17:00 / Last downhill: 17:40–18:10

• Two Lakes Bridge
  Walk onto the glass viewing platform and enjoy amazing views of Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, and the surrounding mountains.
• Panorama Restaurant
  Enjoy Swiss favorites such as cheese fondue and rösti while taking in the mountain views.
• Watch the Sunset
  Harder Kulm is one of the best places to watch the sunset over the Jungfrau region.
• Alphorn Performances (Seasonal)
  From May to October, visitors can enjoy daily alphorn performances and may even have the chance to try playing this traditional Swiss instrument.

• Hidden Free Experiences

  Alpine Wildlife Park (Free) : Next to the lower cable car station. See Alpine animals like ibex and marmots & Circular Forest Trail : About 1 hour walk through the forest. A quiet trail with great mountain views, away from the crowds.
