【Usage】

• Includes 30 or 120 minutes of talk time depending on your selected plan. Minutes can be used for calls to other European countries (outside France), receiving calls, and direct calls to Taiwan. 
• Orange is a French telecom provider. Special in-France benefit: If you are in France, all calls made within France or received from any country are free and do not count against your included minutes. 
• Your phone number (starting with +33, a French number) is printed inside the SIM package. After inserting the SIM card in Europe, dial 225 to receive a welcome SMS with your phone number. 
• You must register your SIM on the Orange website within 30 days of activation to keep the number active for 6 months (from the day of activation). Reminder: If you do not plan to use the number regularly in France, do not register it, as local top-up rates in Europe are often higher than what we offer. 

【Mobile Data】

• Orange is a French provider. When using the SIM outside France, roaming must be enabled for internet access. 
• The plan includes 4G/5G roaming data usable in listed eligible European countries; data volume depends on the plan purchased. 
• Hotspot/tethering is allowed. 
• Please use a phone that supports 4G LTE or 5G frequencies. Most phones sold in Taiwan are compatible. However, due to the vast number of device models and firmware variations, we cannot guarantee compatibility for every phone. Please check with your device seller if unsure. 
• While Orange does not restrict tethering, hotspot functionality may vary depending on your phone model, iOS/Android version, or region settings. In case of issues, please contact Apple or your Android phone manufacturer—this is outside the telecom provider’s control. 
• We can only guarantee mobile data usage on the phone with this SIM inserted. We cannot guarantee that your device can share data via hotspot, due to differences in phone models, systems, and configurations. 

【How to Top-Up】

• In France, visit an Orange store and ask a staff member to top up. 
• Purchase a 14-digit Orange top-up voucher from Tabaco shops or supermarkets and dial: #124*(14-digit code)#

• You must first register your account. 
• Choose credit card top-up, then enter your Orange Holiday number. 
• Select the amount/data package you wish to purchase.

When you leave France for countries like Germany or Italy, your phone is technically roaming internationally, but thanks to EU laws, there are no roaming charges within the EU.

How does it connect when you’re outside France?

Orange connects to major local carriers: As a telecommunications giant, Orange has signed top-tier reciprocal roaming agreements with leading carriers in various countries (such as Deutsche Telekom in Germany and TIM in Italy), allowing it to prioritize connections to local major carriers’ cell towers.

What are the advantages of a local SIM card?

Since it’s issued directly by a local European carrier, data is processed directly in European data centers, resulting in extremely fast network response times (ping values). This avoids the severe latency often experienced with Asian SIM cards that rely on relay servers.

What does “good signal” mean?

Being able to connect to a local carrier does not mean you’ll have “100% full signal strength everywhere in the world.” It’s similar to using Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan—you might lose signal in deep mountains or inside old buildings. In Europe, signal dead zones can still occur in subways, remote rural areas, or indoors behind thick stone walls.

• Orange Network: As a premium "Native European Card," all your browsing data is processed and forwarded directly through local data centers in Europe (primarily France). Technologically, your data traffic never touches China.

• Any illegal leakage or transfer of user data to third parties—especially governments or organizations outside the EU—faces astronomical fines of up to 4% of the company's global annual turnover.
• Orange would never risk such catastrophic legal penalties and reputation damage for Chinese state interests.

• Using Chinese Applications: If you use apps like WeChat, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, or Taobao while in Europe, your user data and activities will still be uploaded directly to the servers of these Chinese companies, no matter which SIM card you use.
• Connecting to Public Wi-Fi: Connecting to unverified free Wi-Fi at European airports, stations, or cafes is the easiest way for hackers (of any nationality) to intercept your data. Staying on your Orange mobile data is significantly safer.
