After receiving your ticket confirmation email, please first check the following:
Whether the name in the email matches the English name on your passport.
Whether the ticket type is correct.
What if the information in my train pass is incorrect?
Before your train pass becomes valid, please contact your travel advisor to process a refund and reissue according to regulations. If the train pass has already become valid, it cannot be modified.
Is the confirmation email itself the actual ticket?
No! You need to install the Rail Planner app on your phone and then load your train pass into Rail Planner for your entire trip. Please ensure your phone meets the system requirements.
Why am I asked to lock my phone with a fingerprint or passcode?
Because Rail Planner contains your personal information, if your phone is not set to automatically lock, the system will ask you to add a fingerprint or passcode to lock your phone during the Rail Planner installation process.
How do I load my train pass?
Open the Rail Planner app, load your train pass (Add a New Pass), select Mobile Pass, and enter your Last Name and Pass Number (6-digit code in bold red alphanumeric text) from your confirmation email. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, and click Add this Pass.
What if I lose my phone?
One pass number can only be linked to one mobile device (phone or tablet). If your mobile device is lost or damaged, you can transfer your pass number to another phone or tablet. Detailed instructions are available by enrolling in our "E-Pass Tutorial Course," "Paid Online Consultation," or purchasing a pass from GoByTrain.
More detailed operating instructions?
We recommend learning these before use! Detailed information will be provided after you purchase your pass: text tutorials, video tutorials, and in-person small group courses.

Can multiple people traveling together load all their train passes onto the same phone?
In principle, it's possible, but this would eliminate the flexibility of traveling separately, and if the phone is lost, it would increase inconvenience for everyone. We recommend keeping one train pass on one phone.
What if Rail Planner encounters a program error?
Please try restarting your phone, updating your phone's operating system, and updating the Rail Planner app. If the problem persists, notify us immediately, providing as much detail as possible about your situation, your phone model, the app version, and the date of the last Rail Planner app update. We will report your issue to Eurail as soon as possible. However, due to the European time difference, we suggest you also take the following steps simultaneously: For detailed instructions, please register for our "E-Ticket Tutorial Course" or "Paid Online Consultation."
How to check your ticket after boarding? Three simple steps:
Step 1. Confirm that the effective date you selected is the same as the first travel date you intend to use your train pass for.
Step 2. After activation, go to the My Trip page. You will see a gray button next to Journey. Before boarding, please ensure you have highlighted the desired journey in yellow. Highlighting yellow means you have used a Travel Day.
Step 3. Flexible Ticket Types: To check your ticket, go to the My Pass page, select the date you are traveling on, and click "Show Ticket" at the bottom. A QR code will appear for the driver to check.
Continuous Ticket Types: To check your ticket, go to the My Pass page, select "Show Ticket," and then click "Date" at the top of the screen. A calendar will appear; find the date you want to travel on (marked with a small blue dot), and click it. A QR code will appear for the driver to check.
Please Note: Whether you have a continuous ticket or a flexible ticket, please do not print out the QR code beforehand. The QR code may change. Please ensure your mobile network is working properly and the app is functioning correctly when checking your ticket to ensure a smooth check. Please remember to bring your passport with you at all times so the conductor can verify your identity as the train pass holder. If you are traveling on a train requiring mandatory reservations, please also present proof of your reservation.
Does my pass include a seat reservation?
No, it does not. For high-speed trains, scenic trains, sleeper night trains, etc., using this train pass requires a separate, paid reservation. We advise you to book your seat as early as possible to secure a "PassholderFare" seat (the number of seats available varies per train). Even for long-distance trains and popular routes that do not require reservations, seats can easily become full during peak tourist seasons or holidays. Therefore, we recommend making a reservation in advance. If you do not have a reservation, please look for seats not marked "RESERVED".
