If you purchase a Zermatt Peak Pass, you can freely ride any routes within the pass coverage. You can get off midway and continue on other segments without any issues.
If you buy a single day mountain round-trip ticket or the Peak 2 Peak Pass, you can get off at intermediate stations, but each segment in the same direction can only be used once. Repeated back-and-forth rides on the same segment are not allowed.
Example:
| If you have a Rothorn single-day round-trip ticket:
- You can start from Rothorn station, get off at Sunnegga station midway, and then continue from Sunnegga toward Zermatt.
- However, you cannot go back from Sunnegga to Rothorn and then return to Sunnegga; repeated rides on the same segment are not permitted.
| With a Zermatt Pass
- You can get on and off freely and ride back and forth without restrictions.
