What happens if I miss my scheduled train? Can I take a later one?

Last updated:2025/09/01

Most point-to-point train tickets are valid only for the specific train, date, and time shown on the ticket.

If you miss your scheduled train, the ticket is usually considered void and cannot be used for another service. You will likely need to purchase a new ticket.

If you've missed your departure, we recommend going to the nearest train station and speaking with a station staff member. In some cases—depending on the fare type and seat availability—it may be possible to pay the difference or change to a later train, but this is subject to local rail policies and is not guaranteed.
